Sandra Velasquez Montiel

Clinical and Family Psychologist

I was born in Matagalpa, Nicaragua and grew up in a multicultural environment. After moving to Mexico, I studied clinical and occupational psychology and graduated from the University of Vienna. Since 2005, I have been working as a clinical and health psychologist in private practice and am a board member of Child Family Environment, an organization dedicated to supporting children and families in challenging situations such as conflict, neglect, poverty and grief. Furthermore, as a parenting expert, I became known in Austria as "Supernanny" on the Austrian TV Channel ATV.

Parents' Reviews

I have been an active family psychologist since 1986 and have served over 1,600 families in those 35 years.

“Sandra Velásquez is an excellent psychologist and university lecturer, who has a lot of psychological knowledge, years of experience in working with children, adolescents, adults and a very human approach to her clients. I have experienced her great work with children and their parents in the kindergartens and after-school care centers where I worked as a dance teacher. There she gave very helpful educational lectures and performed her wonderful psychological services. I have been consulting with her for years as I work as a dance educator with many children, some very difficult, on a daily basis. Her outreach has always been very helpful in my work to help the children develop and socialize. I recommend her as a psychologist.”
